Brno Villas and Legends – Intensive Czech Course in Brno

Do you know why dragon and a wheel are city symbols? Have you seen the UNESCO listed Vila Tugendhat? Do you know other famous Brno vilas? Would you like to learn more about them and practice Czech at the same time? Check out for our weekend Summer course “Brno Legends and Vilas”.

The course combines time spent in the classroom with a city walk – in the Brno centre and in the garden of Vila Tugendhat. The course requires some knowledge of Czech (level A2).

The course runs from Friday to Sunday, you can choose the morning (9.00-12.15), or  the afternoon (14.30-17.45) course.

The course is offered on two weekends: 7-9/8 and 4-6/9 (only in the morning).

  • Course 1) – 7-9/8 – morning (9.00-12.15 AM)
  • Course 2) – 7-9/8 – afternoon (2.30-5.45 PM)
  • Course 3) – 4-6/9 – morning (9.00-12.15 AM)

As a walk in the city is a part of the course, it is offered only in person, not online. It´s an intensive course with the maximum of 5 students in the group. Please register by at least 1 week in advance (by 31/7 for Courses 1 and 2) (by 28/8 for course 3).

Course 1) – 7-9/8 – morning (9.00-12.15 AM)

  • Friday 7/8: Brněnský drak 9.00-10.30 (at school), 10.45-12.15 (in the Brno centre)
  • Saturday 8/8: Brněnské kolo 9.00-10.30 (at school), 10.45-12.15 (in the Brno centre)
  • Sunday 9/8: Vila Tugendhat 9.00-10.30 (at school), 10.45-12.15 (at café Celnice, in the garden of Vila Tugendhat)

Course 2) – 7-9/8 – afternoon (2.30-5.45 PM)

  • Friday 7/8: Brněnský drak 14.30-16.00 (at school), 16.15-17.45 (in the Brno centre)
  • Saturday 8/8: Brněnské kolo 14.30-16.00 (at school), 16.15-17.45 (in the Brno centre)
  • Sunday 9/8: Vila Tugendhat 14.30-16.00 (at school), 16.15-17.45  (at café Celnice, in the garden of Vila Tugendhat)

Course 3) – 4-6/9 – morning (9.00-12.15 AM)

  • Friday 4/9: Brněnský drak 9.00-10.30 (at school), 10.45-12.15 (in the Brno centre)
  • Saturday 5/9: Brněnské kolo 9.00-10.30 (at school), 10.45-12.15 (in the Brno centre)
